Sky Wave Gin
Sky Wave Gin, based in Oxfordshire, distills a collection of exceptional ultra-premium gins crafted entirely by hand, in small batches, from the finest ingredients. Made by husband and wife team, Andrew Parsons and Rachel Hicks, their gins are the pinnacle of craft distilling and have won numerous international awards, including being named World’s Best Contemporary Gin 2020 at the World Gin Awards. Their Signature gin combines 13 different botanicals, to deliver a very contemporary take on a classic London Dry. A citrus burst melts into a juniper body finishing with cardamom and coriander, to create a complex, highly individual gin. Liberation Gin, a reassuringly traditional London Dry, is softly floral and light. It was inspired by the nature growing around the distillery in the Lockdown of 2020. Our latest London Dry began as a birthday gift from our Master Distiller to his wife. Lockdown shaped the gin further as we noticed nature more and more, and reflected this in our botanicals to create a pleasingly smooth, reassuringly traditional gin. Liberation was born of love, inspired by nature. Juniper and dry spices, specifically coriander - dominate the palate - but are balanced with zesty lemon and subtle, lifted vanilla notes. With some rounded sweetness on the medium finish, this is a very pleasing spirit. Sky Wave is proud of its provenance, using local ingredients including foraged Oxfordshire blackberries, locally grown apples and rhubarb. All Sky Wave Gin is cut with Natural Mineral Water from nearby Blenheim Palace. What's in a name? Sky Wave is a nod to the distillers’ adventures whilst also being a term used in radio; in their former lives, Rachel was a BBC journalist and Andy was a Royal Signals Officer.
