The first product made on the farm was ‘Orange 33’, an organic orange liqueur that won a True Taste Award for its first batch! The Oranges are fermented into a primitive Orange Wine in our own mash tank before being distilled into an Orange spirit. The spirit is then watered down to around 30% ABV (with spring water from the farm) before being transferred into Oak casks, where it is aged for 3 months with nets full of quartered organic Oranges, and whole coffee beans. While ageing, the spirit absorbs the flavour of the Oranges and Coffee, while the Oranges become alcoholic, providing the base for the next Orange spirit! The Liqueur is then diluted once again to its final percentage of 25% ABV before being double filtered, bottled and labelled, by hand, on site.
