Making the decision to study to be a Chartered accountant, in conjunction with helping in the family business, led Andrew to know not only how to cook but also how to run a business. His passion was always chocolate and deserts In 2009 after a sudden loss of eyesight, Andrew underwent a series of successful operations. This left him with the very easy decision to focus full time on Desire4food, the parent company of Kennard’s Artisan Chocolates. To actually do a job that gives you happiness and to able to work with passion is rare. This passion shows with all of Andrew’s chocolate creation and flavors • All of our chocolates are conceived and • Produced in our kitchen in Essex • Our chocolates are registered with The Vegan Society and Kosher certified by Federation (KF) • The chocolates use Belgium chocolate and the best ingredients. • We try to use as few ingredients as possible, to maximise taste. • We do not use preservatives or flavor enhancers • We make everything from scratch. So our coffee is roasted coffee. We roast our nuts for our nut chocolates. This permeates throughout our range • Since Andrew is a chef, he knows how to combine flavors, to create unique creations • It was important for us to create wonderful chocolates, both in terms of taste, textures and presentation, that happen to be kosher and vegan
