Holy Grass Vodka is a celebration of local produce and botanicals, the spirit is infused with a carefully crafted vapour of Highland apple juice, to complement the sweetness of the Holy Grass.The hero botanical Anthoxanthum nitens is a delicate, sweet-scented grass known by several common names such as Holy Grass, Bison Grass or Sweet Grass.
Found on the banks of Thurso River, Holy Grass gives this vodka a wonderful, unique taste. Holy Grass Vodka is a tribute to a legendary botanist - Robert D - from Tullibody, who lived in Thurso between 1830 & 1866. He was a respected baker and brilliant, self-taught botanist. He discovered Holy Grass (Hierochloe borealis) on the banks of Thurso River thus proving its existence in Great Britain.
We slowly hand distil our spirits in our bespoke copper pot still, affectionately named Elizabeth.
Each bottle is filled, hand-waxed, batch numbered and signed before it leaves our wee distillery.
