Haandi Restaurants Limited first opened its doors in 1991 in Nairobi, Kenya and brought the unique flavours of North India to London's Knightsbridge in 2001.
Now, having perfected our recipes over the last 25 years, we have launched HaandiBites, a new range of Indian Spice Mixes. Crafted in our award-winning kitchens, each spice mix is a meticulously crafted blend of all the spices required, all you must add is a few additional ingredients to authentically recreate the flavours of India in the comfort of their homes!
The raw spices are sourced from our local suppliers in Nairobi and then dried, ground and prepared in our professional kitchens. Our products are vegan, gluten and dairy free and do not contain any artificial preservatives.
True to the spirit of great Indian cooking, our dry spice mixes allow you to temper the spices in oil or butter before adding further wet ingredients. This technique extracts and retains the essence, aroma and flavour of each of the spices, carrying it through to the final dish. A large majority of producers sell curry sauces or pastes, which unlike our dry mixes, do not allow for the spices to be tempered in the same way.
Each spice mix is packed in a convenient pouch, with an easy to follow Recommended Recipe on the back of each one. However, being a dry mix of raw spices allows our products to be extremely versatile and can be used for rubs and marinades as well as curries, the only limit is your imagination!
