BoroughBox COVID-19 Update

We’re happy to announce that BoroughBox is now back to running as normal with only occasional minor delays. When you place an order, it’s either sent out directly by BoroughBox (Our Collection) or our Marketplace sellers.

Orders with BoroughBox

If you’ve placed on order that’s a BoroughBox product from “Our Collection”, we continue to operate as normal with deliveries available 7 days a week, and most orders being shipped with DPD.

Due to the increased demand, sometimes there are occasional minor delays within the DPD network - but the majority of orders are processed and shipped within our usual timescales (i.e. dispatching orders placed before 2pm for next working day delivery). We are all working together to minimise any disruption.

Marketplace Orders

If you’ve ordered from our marketplace sellers, these orders are sent out directly from the sellers rather than from BoroughBox HQ.

Each of our marketplace sellers uses different couriers. Most marketplace sellers are able to continue to ship orders, but those who are unable to have put their products as out of stock.

Our sellers use a variety of couriers, and we are seeing some delays with these, with Royal Mail second class/48hour services hit hardest by the current situation. 

General Update from BoroughBox HQ.

As always, we are incredibly grateful for our amazing customers, and thank you for your support and patience during these challenging times. 

Our team has been working day and night to pick, pack, and ship the huge amount of orders.

We have implemented social distancing measures and have some staff members working from home for their safety. Due to this, it is taking us a little longer to respond to customer queries than usual.

Rather than calling us or leaving messages on social media, we are encouraging customers to get in touch via email so we can reply in the most efficient manner.

If you have a question related to an order you have placed, then please use the 'Get in touch here' link on your order confirmation email to send an email directly to the seller and us.

Doing our part:

In the background, we have been consolidating donated stock from the wonderful food and drink businesses across the country, which has gone to worthwhile projects such as City Harvest (feeding the vulnerable) and the NHS. Our doors are open for brands wishing to donate.

We're determined to do our bit and keep the food and drink supply chain moving. Please continue to support the independent sector and bear with us. Each order will be dispatched and packed with love.
