BoroughBox Supplying the Great British Fair in Japan

BoroughBox Trade: Supplying the Great British Fair in Japan

We’re delighted that for another year, BoroughBox Trade is working with Ryubo, the Japanese department store, for the Great British Fair in Japan. The fair takes place in two locations: Osaka and Fukuoka.

During a time when international distribution has been notoriously difficult, following COVID-19 and Brexit, the Trade team have worked meticulously to ensure that a delicious range of premium British products make it safely to Japan.

We have been involved with the Great British Fair for several years now. In 2019 we even showed our faces there, when our very own Great Taste Judge, Alec Paterson, travelled over to Japan to be a part of the fun.

The fair is designed to celebrate British food, products and culture - and our unique snacks and drinks from independent producers fit the bill perfectly. So, we've created a showcase of some of the quintessentially British products that will be on display in Japan.

One of the producers on display at the fair is Bermondsey Street Bees. They believe in artisanal raw honey production and traditional ways of beekeeping. They produce characterful, single-source honeys for people who want to support British beekeeping.

They put bee welfare first and only the surplus honey is harvested, leaving the colony with plentiful winter stores. Oh, and it's completely delicious!

COCO Chocolatier will once again be sold at the Great British Fair in 2021. Based in Edinburgh, COCO Chocolatier is a collaborative canvas for both artists and artisans. Each luxury chocolate bar is decadently wrapped in artwork by an emerging artist from across the globe.

With creativity and cocoa at its core, the brand sources the finest cocoa beans from Colombia and The Ivory Coast to create its collection of mouth-watering chocolate treats.

This year's fair will also feature Popcorn Shed. They are a made-in-Britiain artisanal brand. Cousins Sam and Laura founded Popcorn Shed with the mission of perfecting popcorn snacks that have the power to enhance moments spent with family and friends.

This gourmet popcorn comes in a variety of delightful and unique flavours, all packaged up in vibrant boxes.

If you are interested in stocking these unique, independent brands in your own store, head over to the BoroughBox Trade website and create an account. This will allow you to purchase these innovative products at wholesale prices.
