Welcome to our street food brand – Rare Str’eat – and the team behind it.
The brainchild of two school friends with a passion for quality food, culinary innovation and pleasurable consumption, Rare Str’eat had its humble beginnings within London’s famous Borough Market. Utilising top notch ingredients from around the market, including our own rare breed butchery of course (hence the name!), we set about conjuring up original dishes with a fusion approach and no fear of failure.
Our very first dish was the now well known Lamb Baahr’ito, combining slow roasted Herdwick lamb with wild rice, pomegranate seeds, salad & custom sauces within a tortilla wrap. Since then our ‘ito range has expanded to treat the most discerning of pallets with tasty goodness.
Nowadays Rare Str’eat can be found serving a variety of street food dishes at Borough Market, Rupert Street in Soho, running week long events at busy venues, popping up (then down again) at festivals, making wedding evening ‘feeding time’ far more interesting than in olden days, or on summer evenings in our North London pub kitchen. Combined with our more serious Borough Foods catering brand (offering everything from simple to high brow event foods) we cover any requirement for innovative, creative and tasty delectables.
